“No.” Is A Complete Sentence

Sexual harassment is a pervasive problem in the United States, and it is difficult to determine the exact number of women who experience it.

Yes, we are a makeup brand and that is why we feel obligated to stress out something very important. Probably more important now then ever.

Yes, we want to be beautiful but not necessarily seductive. Perhaps I just want to fix something, be happier about my look, more attractive, more confident, sociable, or even assertive. But if I say “no”, see it as a compete sentence. Because it is. I don’t have to explain myself.

According to a survey conducted by Stop Street Harassment, 81% of women in the United States reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime.

Other studies have found that around 1 in 3 women have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, and around 1 in 5 women have experienced sexual assault in their lifetime. The National Sexual Violence Resource Center estimates that in the United States, nearly 1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men have been raped at some point in their lives.

It is important to note that these statistics only represent reported cases, and many incidents of sexual harassment and assault go unreported. Additionally, these statistics do not account for other forms of harassment, such as street harassment, online harassment, or harassment in public spaces.

Sexual harassment is a serious issue that can have lasting impacts on a person's physical and mental health, as well as their personal and professional life. It is important to continue to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual harassment and to work towards creating a safer and more equitable society for all individuals.

Sexual harassment is any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature that makes someone feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or offended. Here are some examples of behaviors that can constitute sexual harassment:

Unwanted touching

Any physical contact that is unwanted or non-consensual, such as touching, groping, or hugging.

Sexual comments or jokes

Comments, jokes, or conversations of a sexual nature that are not welcome or that make someone feel uncomfortable.

Sexual advances

Any attempt to make sexual advances or propositions that are unwanted, such as requests for sexual favors or dates.

Displaying sexual images or materials

Displaying or sharing pornography, sexual images, or other sexual materials in the workplace or public spaces where they are not appropriate.

Bullying or intimidation

Using sexual language or behavior to bully or intimidate someone, or to create a hostile work or social environment.

If you are experiencing any of these behaviors, or if you witness someone else experiencing them, it is important to take action to stop the harassment. You can report it to a supervisor, human resources representative, or another authority figure.

It is also important to remember that sexual harassment is never the fault of the victim, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.
